I really like the style of this artist. The layering, combining photographs with other media, and the inclusion of personal feelings written in a continuous fashion. I really like her two books, ‘Spilling open…’ and ‘The true and the questions’.

The Chase is a company set up in Manchester with clients including Marks and Spenser, Selfridges and Yellow Pages. This company have designed packaging, bags and calenders, along with logs and branding. Out of the graphic companies I have looked at, it is this one that i like the most work from, and can relate to. On their website it is the illustrations that appear on the title pages of the portfolio that I particularly like even though im not sure how relevent they are to the rest of their work.

This is one of my favourite illustrators and i have refered to her work a number of times. The charactors have extended features and often have a sexual element to them. The have loose quick lines created eather by a ink paintbrush or by a black pen. The colour she uses is usually bright and in blocks. She is a fashion designer and has created designs for other designers to use on their own work.

I like the quirkyness of the illustrations by this artist. They have been created from watercolours and black ink on white or brown paper, with minimal colour and have been drawn quickly. Many have a caption that acompanies them.
