A project for a Zine about evolution. I followed the decay of a carved apple. I like how the teeth look like they have fallen out like they would have done on a real skull. But the wasps just ate the teeth first.

Business cards.
As I went round the convention I picked up business cards from the stalls. Some of the cards were great. The images were sharp and interesting with readable typefaces. They used a good quality paper and all looked unique and really reflected the standard of the tattooist. Other business cards there were terrible. They combined crap images with even crappier typefaces. The quality was poor and they did nothing to promote the tattooist. There was definitely a correlation between the best tattoists having the best cards. Perhaps due to these being generally more artistic and having a better design eye, probably combined with earning more money and having more business knowledge.
I have definitely learnt more about the do’s and don’ts of business cards from comparing those that I collected.

the site layout is great and is an interesting way to display illustrations. The hand lettering is essential and works well with the overall design.
